What her therapy is like
People who come to Alicia’s practice meet a cheerful, dynamic and very approachable psychologist who listens with empathy and brings enthusiasm and energy. Her therapy is just like her: a warm space where you feel at ease from the first minute, and at the same time serious work with clear goals.
- Warmth and careYou feel comfortable and able to speak openly, without judgement.
- RigourCareful assessment, measurable goals and evidence-based techniques.
- A sense of urgencyTools from the first session and no dragging therapy out without a reason.
- HonestyShe tells you clearly what is happening, what can be done and how long it may take.
An honest proposal
Her commitment is that every session brings something concrete, so that nobody ever feels their therapy was expensive. That is why she works with a brief, structured method, gives you tools from day one and suggests tools between sessions so that progress continues at home. We also reply to messages at weekends.
The 6-Session Method
Over 20 years in practice Alicia has built her own brief therapy method: 6 sessions with a clear beginning and end, plus a follow-up session one month after finishing. It has two programmes: Care, to feel better now, and Roots, to understand where your difficulties come from. The 6 sessions are an honest guide: if the goals are reached sooner, therapy ends sooner, and if a case needs more, it is extended with a clear plan.
