Welcome to the clinical sexology section of the López de Fez Psychology Centre. At our centre in Valencia we put the full experience and professionalism of our sexologists at your disposal.
The centre is directed by its founder, Alicia López de Fez, who has extensive experience in sexology and clinical psychology and is a regular contributor to national media. Today the centre is made up of a team of qualified, experienced psychologists and sexologists, committed to the people we try to help, living up to our motto: committed to your wellbeing.
We practise evidence-based clinical sexology. The sex therapy techniques we use have proven effectiveness and scientific validity.

It is also worth saying that, in some cases, the sexual problems of the people who come to the centre are linked to deeper relationship problems, to sexual conflicts that originate in childhood, or to culturally acquired guilt about sexual pleasure.
In those cases, the key to successful sex therapy lies in the ability to handle these deeper issues and the anxiety and resistance they generate. To that end, at the López de Fez Psychology Centre we rely on brief, active therapies with a dynamic orientation, focused on the couple's resistance to sexual improvement.
Even so, our experience shows that a person's sexual problem can only improve if the immediate, more superficial causes of that particular problem are also addressed.
That is why, as well as helping people gain an in-depth understanding of any underlying conflicts or guilt (where they exist), our work as sexologists also focuses, as an essential complement, on changing the sources of stress acting in the present, so that sexual pleasure can be recovered. For this we use sexual exercises aimed directly at the immediate causes of the couple's sexual problems.
