Welcome to the child psychology section of the López de Fez Psychology Centre. Based in the city of Valencia, the Centre was founded and is directed by psychologist Alicia López de Fez, who has extensive experience in clinical psychology and is a regular contributor to national media.
At the López de Fez Psychology Centre we treat, among others, the difficulties that fall within child psychology, with experienced professionals who have in-depth knowledge of this field. To help you as much as we can, you will find plenty of information on this website.
Our centre is a therapeutic space specialising in child psychology. Our training and professional experience allow us to create a warm, trusting environment in which to resolve whatever is affecting a child's development, growth and learning.
All children experience certain difficulties as they grow up. In some cases these problems do not go away, or they get worse. That is when the child needs support. Timely treatment can prevent more serious problems from developing. The type of assessment and the treatment plan are decided individually, taking into account all the circumstances surrounding the child.
As child psychologists we never forget that therapeutic work with children must also involve the people who play an active part in the child's life, above all the parents (or main carers). They are the fundamental support and the key to the success of therapy, because it is the parents who ensure that the work done in the sessions continues outside the consulting room.
