At our Psychology Centre in Valencia we offer the following types of psychological therapy, each explained in detail on its own page:
In general terms, the therapy our team of psychologists in Valencia practises starts from one premise: change is possible. Beliefs, emotions, feelings and, of course, the way we behave can all change. Psychological therapy provides the setting in which that change is guided by a professional psychologist, so that it happens faster and in the desired direction.
In every type of therapy we provide at our clinic in Valencia, the aim is to change only the part of ourselves that is hurting us. Therapeutic change means learning new, more helpful and more useful ways of thinking and behaving, which allow us to handle difficult situations better. The personality of the person in therapy remains; what changes is what disturbs them: certain irrational thoughts, exaggerated stress responses or ineffective ways of acting.
In each therapy we explain which behaviours need to change and why, which new behaviours will be learned, and the whole process that will be followed until the desired results are achieved. This process naturally varies from case to case. We also explain the thoughts that lie behind those unhelpful behaviours, and the emotions that stem from them or feed them.
